Server Chassis Manufacturing
Rack cases, chassis and mounting hardware for server and data centre equipment, built to your mechanical drawing.
What is different about building a server chassis compared with a general enclosure?
A server chassis is a mechanical part with electrical and thermal consequences. Panel flatness and rail position govern whether cards and drive carriers seat correctly, so hole position tolerance matters more than overall size tolerance. Ventilation openings have to deliver a specified open area without compromising stiffness, which usually means perforation patterns chosen for airflow rather than appearance. Grounding paths depend on plating and on which surfaces are left uncoated, so masking on a coated chassis is a functional requirement rather than a cosmetic one. Rack products also have to hold standard mounting dimensions across production, because a chassis that fits one rack and not another is a field failure. YBT builds chassis parts using the same perforating, forming and finishing equipment it uses for its own products.
What are the server chassis manufacturing specifications?
Check the figures below against your drawing before you send it. If the number you need is not listed, ask us directly.
| Parameter | Capability |
|---|---|
| Product types | Rack cases, chassis, drive cages, brackets and mounting hardware, built to the customer’s mechanical drawing |
| Rack dimensions | Mounting dimensions taken from the customer drawing and held across production; rack standard compliance is verified against the drawing at first article |
| Materials | SECC and SGCC galvanised steels, SPCC cold-rolled steel, aluminium AL5052 / AL6061, stainless SUS304 |
| Tolerance | Stamped features ±0.05 mm; laser-cut profiles ±0.1 mm; hole positions per drawing |
| Ventilation perforation | Punched on TRUMPF TruPunch 5000 / 1000 or laser cut, pattern per drawing |
| Surface treatment | Plating, powder coating or liquid paint, with uncoated grounding areas kept per drawing |
| Assembly | Sub-assembly and finished unit; welding on OTC arc robot and laser welding robot |
| Quality system | ISO 9001:2015, certified by TÜV NORD Taiwan since 2017 (certificate 66 100 172733, valid to 2029-06-01) |
| Lead time | Parts: typically 1 to 2 weeks after order, depending on quantity |
| MOQ | Guideline 1,000 pcs per part number; smaller quantities quoted case by case, unit price reflects volume |
Figures reflect YBT’s in-house equipment and plant records as of 2026. The workable range for a specific part is confirmed at quotation.
