Who we are
YUARN BAAU TAIH ENTERPRISE CORPORATION, trading as YBT and as Minca, is a metal manufacturer based in Tanzi District, Taichung City, Taiwan. Founded in 1980, the business began in sheet metal processing, stamping, laser cutting and bending to customer drawings, and from 1989 developed its own outdoor gas products under the Burny brand, including patio heaters, gas cabinet heaters and commercial gas and charcoal grills. That combination is unusual among Taiwanese metal factories and is the basis of the current ODM offering: the company has already carried a product through design, tooling, certification and assembly on its own account, rather than only building to someone else’s drawing. The plant employs 30 to 40 people on a 6,300 m² site, and quality management has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV NORD since 2017. Its longest customer relationship has run for more than 20 years.

YBT has supplied international brand owners across two product generations. In its first phase the plant produced OEM sheet metal parts for the United States ceiling-fan brands Casablanca and Hunter. Since developing its own outdoor gas products it has manufactured for BP Gas and Shell Gas, for the Canadian barbecue brand Napoleon, and for the radiant heater brand Schwank Heaters. In 2012 the plant passed a BSCI factory audit as OEM supplier to the German retail chain OBI. Since 2014 it has also produced electric heaters for one brand owner at about 20,000 units a year under a confidentiality agreement. Relationships with international brand owners span more than twenty years, which is the practical answer to whether a factory can hold a specification over repeat orders rather than for a single trial batch.

How we work
One site for the metalwork
Cutting, punching, forming, welding and assembly run on the same site, so a routed part does not move between vendors. Finishing is arranged as part of the same job.
