Perforated Sheet
Perforated panels for burner covers, machine guards, ventilation and decorative applications, produced to your pattern and open area.
How is a perforated sheet specification actually defined?
A perforated sheet is defined by five numbers, not one. Hole shape and diameter set the appearance and the smallest feature that can be produced in a given thickness. Pitch, the centre-to-centre distance, together with the staggered or straight pattern, determines open area, which is the figure that governs airflow or light transmission. Material grade and thickness limit how small the hole can be, since a hole diameter below roughly the sheet thickness becomes difficult to punch cleanly. Margin, the unperforated border, matters for any panel that will be bent or fastened at the edge. Supplying all five removes the most common cause of a re-quote on perforated work, which is a drawing that shows a pattern picture but no open-area requirement.
What are the perforated sheet specifications?
Check the figures below against your drawing before you send it. If the number you need is not listed, ask us directly.
| Parameter | Capability |
|---|---|
| Perforating equipment | TRUMPF TruPunch 5000 (installed 2026), TruPunch 1000 (2021), TruMatic 2020R (2018); laser-cut patterns on TruLaser 1040 fiber where the hole geometry suits |
| Hole shape, pitch and open area | Produced to the customer drawing: hole shape, diameter, pitch, pattern (staggered or straight) and open area are taken from the drawing and confirmed at quotation |
| Materials | Stainless steel, aluminium, copper and carbon steel; full grade list in the materials guide |
| Max sheet size | 4,000 × 2,000 mm on the laser; punching sheet size confirmed per machine at quotation |
| Margin control | Unperforated border to drawing |
| Secondary operations | Bending, welding and finishing routed as one job |
| Lead time | Parts typically 1 to 2 weeks after order, depending on quantity |
| MOQ | Guideline 1,000 pcs per part number; smaller quantities quoted case by case, unit price reflects volume |
Figures reflect YBT’s in-house equipment and plant records as of 2026. The workable range for a specific part is confirmed at quotation.
