The same stamped bracket can be acceptable in one sector and rejected in another, because what gets inspected differs. An outdoor gas appliance is judged on cosmetic surface quality and on certification to a gas standard. A foodservice unit is judged on cleaning access and duty cycle. A server chassis is judged on hole position tolerance and grounding path rather than on appearance. A home appliance part is judged on cost at volume and on consistency across a long production run. A supplier that treats all four the same will satisfy none of them. The industry pages below set out what each sector inspects first, so an enquiry can be framed against the right criteria from the beginning.
